About
Advanced utilities for Android users.
AMX Dev is an independent Android development studio building performance tools and gaming utilities — FPS Unlocker, FPS Monitor and AMX Screen Recorder, with more in development.
What AMX Dev Works On
Android has more performance headroom than most games expose. Frame caps get set conservatively, overlays report numbers that are interpolated rather than measured, and screen recorders take back the frames you just fought for. AMX Dev exists to close those gaps with tools small enough to trust.
The work spans Android performance tools and gaming utilities, and the current lineup is only the beginning — more apps are in development. Whatever ships, it is held to the same bar: world-class execution in a build small enough that you forget it is installed.
Every app here follows the same constraints: no root, no account, and no background services running when the app is closed. Where privileged access is genuinely needed it goes through Shizuku rather than root, which keeps device integrity intact — required by FPS Monitor, optional in FPS Unlocker, and not used at all by AMX Screen Recorder.
On funding, plainly: FPS Unlocker and FPS Monitor are free and ad-supported through Google AdMob, and FPS Monitor offers a Premium subscription that removes ads. AMX Screen Recorder carries no advertising and no analytics library of its own, and is free with an optional Pro unlock. What each app collects is set out in its own privacy policy.
Why This Site Exists
Most of the questions that reach the inbox are not bug reports — they are setup questions. How do you start Shizuku after a reboot? Why does 120 FPS not appear on this device? What bitrate should a 120 FPS recording use? Those answers belong somewhere permanent and searchable, which is what the Posts section is for.
Guides here are written against real hardware, updated when Android changes, and dated so you can tell whether the advice is still current.
Independence
AMX Dev is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any game publisher or platform holder. The apps do not modify game files, inject code into games, or provide any competitive advantage. They adjust device-side rendering settings that the hardware already supports.
