The Short Version
AMX Screen Recorder records your screen and saves the file on your phone. That is the whole product.
There are no accounts, no sign-in, and no analytics. The app has no code that uploads anything, so your recordings and your settings never reach us or anyone else. Nothing you record leaves your device unless you share it yourself.
What the App Accesses, and Why
Every one of these exists either to produce the video file you asked for or to show you the files you already have. The recording permissions apply only while a session is running. The optional one at the end of the table is never requested at startup — it is asked for inside the app's library, next to the recordings it is about, and only if you go looking for them.

Android stops showing the app its own recordings once they lose their owner — which happens if you reinstall the app or clear its storage — and this is the only thing that brings them back into the list. The app reads nothing but Movies/AMXRecorder, and on Android 14 and later you can hand over individual videos instead of all of them. Refuse it and everything except those older recordings works exactly as before. |
The app requests no location, no contacts, no camera, and no access to your documents or other files. Video access, where you grant it, is used for one thing only: listing the recordings this app made in Movies/AMXRecorder. Other videos on your device are never read, catalogued, or sent anywhere.
Your Recordings
Video files are written to your device's own media storage, in Movies/AMXRecorder, and appear in your gallery like any other video. They stay there until you delete them.
We never see them. They are not uploaded, backed up to us, scanned, or transmitted anywhere. Sharing a recording is something only you can do, using Android's own share sheet.
The app's library lists that folder — it keeps no catalogue of its own. Reinstalling the app, or clearing its storage in Android's app settings, makes Android forget which app created the files already there: the videos stay on your device and stay in your gallery, but the app stops being shown them. Allowing it to read videos is the only thing that brings those older recordings back into the list. You can refuse indefinitely — anything recorded from then on is listed either way.
Settings and the Pro Unlock
Your recording preferences are stored in the app's private storage on the device.
To keep a Pro unlock tied to the device that paid for it, the app reads Android'sANDROID_ID — an identifier that is unique to this app on this device and cannot be used to identify you personally — and mixes it into a locally-computed check. That value is used on the device only. It is never transmitted, logged, or shared.
Purchases
If you buy AMX Recorder Pro, the purchase is handled entirely by Google Play Billing. Google processes the payment and tells the app whether a valid purchase exists. We never receive or store your card number, billing address, or any other payment detail.
Google's handling of that transaction is covered by theGoogle Privacy Policy.
Google Play Billing is also the reason the app's permission list includes internet access. Nothing else in the app uses the network — there is no server of ours for it to talk to.
Crash and Performance Reports
The app contains no crash-reporting or analytics library of its own.
If your device is set to share app diagnostics with Google, Google Play may send anonymous crash and performance data to the Play Console so the app's stability can be improved. That is an Android-level setting you control in your device settings, and the data reaches Google, not us in any identifiable form.
Children
AMX Screen Recorder is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them. Since the app collects nothing from anyone, there is nothing to delete on request.
Deleting Your Data
Uninstalling the app removes its settings and its Pro unlock record from your device.
Recordings already saved to your gallery are your files and survive uninstalling — delete them from the app's library or from your gallery whenever you like. Because nothing is ever sent to us, there is no server-side copy to request the deletion of.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes on Google Play.
