The current lineup is only the start — more utilities are in development, and not all of them are about frame rates. Everything published on this site, from the guides to the changelogs, comes out of the same work. If a setting is recommended here, it was tested first.

FPS Unlocker is a gaming tool for Android 8 and above that unlocks higher frame rates and optimizes graphics for smoother gameplay. On supported devices it exposes the 90 FPS, 120 FPS and higher frame-rate options that games leave capped by default, alongside graphics settings you can adjust for improved performance and better frame stability in compatible games.

It runs on an unrooted device. Shizuku is optional here — it is used only as a local system interface to apply certain utility functions on supported hardware, and it transmits nothing off the device.
Two expectations are worth setting. Higher frame rates increase battery consumption and device temperature, which is inherent to driving the display and GPU harder. And feature availability depends on your device hardware and on game support — a panel that refreshes at 60 Hz cannot show more than 60 FPS no matter what an app reports.

FPS Monitor is a real-time FPS tracker designed for power users who want to measure a game’s performance with precision instead of estimating it. It reads frame-rate data directly from your device’s GPU and shows it in a floating overlay while you play.

The overlay’s size, position and colour are all adjustable, and the refresh frequency is yours to set — slower for a steadier number, faster for more granular tracking. Two permissions carry the app: Display over other apps for the floating window, and notifications, which Android requires while monitoring runs and which is how you stop it without leaving your game.
Reading real frame data needs shell-level access, and you choose how to grant it: pair with your own device over wireless debugging with no PC involved, use Shizuku once to launch a helper that runs until you reboot, let Shizuku host the service as before, or run a single ADB command. None of them need root. A Premium subscription unlocks additional functionality and an ad-free experience, billed through Google Play and cancellable at any time from your Play account settings.

You can capture full-screen video at your display’s native resolution at 30, 60, 90 or 120 FPS, in H.265 (HEVC) for smaller files or H.264 (AVC) for maximum compatibility, at bitrates up to 48 Mbps. Audio comes from internal app and game audio on Android 10+, from the microphone, or both mixed. Recording starts and stops from a Quick Settings tile without leaving the game, and a session survives a crash — if the app is killed the file is rebuilt and saved instead of lost.
Everything needed to record is free: up to 60 FPS, 24 Mbps video and 192 kbps audio. Pro unlocks the top of the range — 120 FPS and Auto frame rate, 48 Mbps video, 320 kbps audio and the Quick Settings tile.
Internal audio capture needs Android 10 or newer and works only with apps that allow it. Some music and video streaming apps block capture for copyright reasons — an Android restriction that no recorder can bypass.
